Ducati has announced that it will be hosting its very first one make race cup in India. Called the Ducati India Race Cup, it will be held alongside the season finale of the Volkswagen Ameo Cup 2019 in the beginning of October, this year. Only Panigale and SuperSport motorcycles will be allowed on the grid.
The Italian manufacturer has said that the Ducati Race Cup is especially introduced in India to give its customers a taste of the race track and to develop the sport in India. The one-make cup will have a qualifying session on the October 5, 2019, followed by the race on October 6, 2019. Entry forms and details on eligibility will be made available on the Ducati India website soon.
Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “This year, we are also looking to organize not just another DRE track day but are also working on having certified DRE instructors in India itself so that they can provide individual training to keen Ducati riders before the race.”
