Yes, you read that right. As surprising as it may sound, the Panigale V4 has been sold out in India. Priced at Rs 22.7 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the V4 is the Italian manufacturer’s flagship offering and one of the most technologically advanced superbikes on the market.
The Panigale V4 also happens to be one of the most successful motorcycles from the manufacturer’s line-up. In 2018, Ducati sold 53,004 motorcycles worldwide – 9,700 units were of the Panigale series (a 70 percent increase from 2017), of which, 6,100 were the Panigale V4. This means that Ducati has managed to acquire 26 percent of the global superbike market, indicating that one in every four superbikes sold last year was a Panigale. It seems that the Panigale V4 was equally sought after in India as well.
The Panigale V4 also comes in S, R and Speciale variants. Of these, the V4S is readily available at dealerships, while the limited edition Speciale (limited to 1,500 units) and even more powerful R are also available, albeit on special order.
The Panigale V4S retails at Rs 26.5 lakh, the Speciale at Rs 51.8 lakh and the V4R costs 51.87 lakh.
