Italian motorcycle manufacturer, MV Agusta, saw a substantial jump in sales this year, reaching a yearly benchmark of nearly 9,000 units. United Kingdom contributed the most to the sales figures, and the manufacturer witnessed a massive growth of 140 percent in the country. Rest of Europe also saw good results, with Spain at 54 percent growth, Germany at 26 percent and Switzerland at 14 percent. The home country for MV Agusta however, saw a marginal decline in sales at -0.1 percent for the same period. Not only has Europe seen a boost in sales numbers, the eastern part of the world has also contributed to about 12 percent of the total sales figures, the manufacturer’s sales report says. Most of these sales have been achieved from the sales of its high-end models such as the Turismo Veloce and Dragster RR, and topped by the Brutale 800.

Earlier this year, Mercedes-AMG bought a minority stake in MV Agusta, and has been contributing to the growth of the brand through promotional activities such as the SBK and DTM, and showcases at multiple auto shows across Geneva, Frankfurt and Tokyo.

Another move was unveiling the first concept bike – AMG inspired F3 – next to its “twin” AMG supercar, the AMG GT S and their matching “Solar Beam” graphics at the German show. Mercedes-AMG has also been showcasing many MV Agusta products at their performance centres at Stuttgart, Paris, Tokyo and Taipei. However, the sales of the motorcycles will be channelled exclusively through the motorcycle manufacturer’s dealerships.

MV Agusta launched the Brutale 1090 and the F4 in India earlier this year, and these motorcycles were available only through their website earlier. However, there is good news for those who prefer buying their motorcycles from a dealership, for the manufacturer has confirmed its opening its dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The manufacturer also confirmed that they will be officially launching the motorcycles in the first quarter of the next calendar year.
