TVS has sent us a media invite for a new launch taking place on September 8, for what it calls ‘the all-new racer’s choice’. This quite clearly points to the fact that this is going to be a performance-oriented model, meaning that it’s going to be part of the Apache line-up.
The biggest expectation from the Apache line-up at the moment is the naked version of the Apache RR310 sportbike, which could be called the Apache RTR 310. But this will be a very important new model for the company and will be accompanied by a lot more fanfare than we’re seeing for this upcoming launch. So we reckon the naked 310 is still some time away.
The September 8 event is going to be only a virtual press event, suggesting that this will probably be something along the lines of a new variant or special edition for one of the existing models in the TVS line-up. It could be another model in the company’s recently introduced RP (Race Performance) series. The first offering in this series was the limited-run Apache RTR 165 RP, whose review you can check out here. Another possibility is that this could be an update to the Apache RTR 160 4V, which was recently spotted testing with a new exhaust system design.
