Ola Electric future expansion plans: details
Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola Electric, took to social media to announce the company’s foray into major global markets starting with Nepal next quarter. "World’s EV transition will be led by India!" he said.
This move comes at a time when Ola scooters' sales numbers have been faltering. In May of this year, Ola Electric managed to register 9,249 scooters, which shrunk down to 3,421 units by August. Earlier this week, Ola Electric announced plans to open up experience centres across the nation, adding that 20 such centres are already functional.
In August, Ola announced that its first electric car will arrive in 2024, with a claimed range of more than 500km on a single charge.
