Having revamped its iQube electric scooter range last year, TVS is now gearing up to launch new offerings in the electric two-wheeler space. Speaking to investors, the company’s director and CEO, K N Radhakrishnan, recently revealed that it would be launching multiple new electric models in different segments in the next 18 months, and these will fall in the 5kW to 25kW power output bracket.

This indicates that TVS will be venturing into the premium electric two-wheeler space, and could bring in electric bikes as well. The iQube is powered by a 4.4kW motor, so the new models will most likely be positioned above it. And with outputs going as high as 25kW, it would not be surprising to see a motorcycle form factor in the mix.

When asked whether the models would feature fixed or swappable battery packs, Radhakrishnan did not go into specifics, instead merely claiming that the upcoming products will “delight customers”. While we can’t draw too much from this, it is interesting that the possibility of swappable/removable batteries was not ruled out.

TVS is currently managing to more or less double its EV sales every quarter, with the iQube now being one of the highest-selling high-speed EVs today, and the company says it hopes to sustain this growth; the new launches should help TVS maintain momentum. In addition, Radhakrishnan also stated that there would be a new ICE launch this quarter, but details were slim once again. This is most likely to be a variant or update to an existing model.
