After the Mickey Mouse edition and the collaboration with Justin Bieber, Vespa has released yet another special edition called the Dragon edition.
The Vespa Dragon edition is based on the 946 scooter but the paint and the decals are new. The base coat is a light shade of gold and the dragon graphics on the scooter are in a distinctive shade of green. The Vespa Dragon edition has been made to celebrate the Lunar New Year celebration event in Hong Kong on January 24. Only 1,888 units will be made available for purchase.
It is powered by an air-cooled, 125cc, single-cylinder engine, which produces 11.7hp of power and 10.3Nm of torque. In typical Vespa fashion, the Dragon edition has a metal-monocoque body and comes with a single leading-link shock upfront, 12-inch wheels and a 220mm front disc brake.
Along with this scooter, Vespa has also released its first-ever clothing item – a matching ‘varsity’ jacket. The jacket’s front panel features Vespa’s iconic V monogram accompanied by an ancient Chinese proverb and it is colour-coordinated with the scooter.
