KTM India, has announced that it will be launching the updated RC range of motorcycles on January 19, 2017. Prior to the launch of the 2017 KTM models, Motoroids has got their hands on leaked images of the company’s brochure which reveals the changes that will be seen on the new bikes.
While the 2017 RC200 remains relatively unchanged, it gets new livery with revised graphics, and a white tank. The front disc brake is also bigger by 20mm, which means it is now 300mm.
The RC390 for 2017 on the other hand has a few more changes compared to the older model. While it also gains 20mm of diameter on the front disc (making it 320mm) and new livery, it now gets a slight bump up in torque and kerb weight. Peak torque has increased by 1Nm to 36Nm, while it gains about 4.5kg and its kerb weight will be 163.5kg. It also gets a new 2-stage exhaust, with a swept canister.
For the new RC390, however, the icing on the cake is the fact that it will also get a ride-by-wire throttle and a slipper clutch. It is also Euro-IV compliant now, which could explain the increase in weight.
