The Ather 450S will be launched in India on August 3 and will command a price tag of Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). This more budget-friendly e-scooter will have a smaller battery pack than the 3.7kWh unit found on the 450X.

    1. Ather 450S will still feature Bluetooth connectivity
    2. Motor could be less powerful despite having same top speed as 450X

Ather has now officialy revealed the segmented LCD dash that will be found on the 450S and while it will have Bluetooth connectivity, it will miss out on touch compatibility. Take a closer look below.

With the recent cutback on the FAME-II subsidy, the 450X e-scooter lineup has become more expensive, which makes this a good time for the Bengaluru-based startup to launch the relatively more affordable 450S. We already know that the 90kph top speed will be identical to the more expensive 450X, but what remains to be seen is whether the motor makes the same 6.2kW of peak power.

A teaser on Ather’s social media has revealed that the 450S will still feature Bluetooth connectivity and a colour dash, but whether it will be an LCD unit or a TFT one remains to be seen. Earlier, we had reported that the Ather 450S could debut a proper set of passenger footpegs as well as simpler mirror stalks, indicating that it could lean more toward the practical end of the spectrum.
