Ather Energy has inaugurated its first Experience Centre in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This marks Ather’s entry into its second international market, following its expansion into Nepal late last year.
- Sri Lankan operations partner is Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd.
- Ather will also set up Grid fast-charging stations over there
The Experience Centre was launched in partnership with Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Sensei Capital Partners, Atman Group, and Sino Lanka Private Limited. As Ather’s national distributor in Sri Lanka, Evolution Auto will manage sales, service operations, and network expansion. The company will also work on establishing Ather Grid fast-charging stations across Sri Lanka, supporting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and providing a smoother experience for customers.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy Limited, noted that while the EV market in Sri Lanka is still emerging, Ather is excited to contribute to its development and sees the country as a key part of its global expansion strategy.
Dhiren Kundanmal, Director of Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd., commented on the significance of the Experience Centre, highlighting the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability in mobility. He invited customers in Colombo to experience Ather’s technology and be a part of a greener future.
Ather Energy entered its first international market, Nepal, in 2023. By October 31, 2024, it had established five Experience Centres and 16 Ather Grid fast-charging stations in Nepal. In India, Ather has 239 showrooms across 175 cities and over 2000 Ather Grid fast-charging stations.
