Honda Activa 125 coming to Auto Expo 2014

Honda will reveal its Activa 125 automatic scooter at the Auto Expo 2014. Currently, the Activa is sold with a 109cc engine.

The company has not revealed any details about when it intends to launch the Activa 125 though. And, when Honda launches this Activa, it will be the bikemaker's first 125cc automatic transmission scooter in India. The new Activa comes with a 125cc four-stroke, force air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, with variator-controlled automatic transmission. It is likely to carry forward the same styling elements as its predecessors. 

At present, Indian buyers looking for automatic scooters with a 125cc engine have limited options, of which inlcude the Piaggio Vespa, Mahindra's Duro and Rodeo, and Suzuki's Access and Swish. Considering the popularity of the current Activa, the Honda Activa 125 is certain to cause a stir in its segment.
