    2. Gets same engine as KTM 790 Duke

    Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 details

The Vitpilen 801 gets similar styling as the Svartpilen 801 but with a revised front end. It features an all new LED headlamp design, redesigned radiator shrouds and some bodywork, under its engine. This roadster features slightly more aggressive ergonomics with a lower handlebar and a more committed rider triangle. The Vitpilen 801 gets a familiar 799cc parallel twin engine that produces 105hp at 9,250rpm and 87Nm 8,000rpm.

Husqvarna says this motor features an active crankcase evacuation and a semi-dry-sump lubrication system to create a long service interval of 15,000km. The Vitpilen 801 features a 5-inch TFT that allows you to toggle through four riding modes (Street, Sport, Rain and Dynamic) along with a whole set of electronic aids such as a quickshifter, cornering ABS and cornering traction control.

The motorcycle rides on a set of adjustable WP APEX suspension and is equipped with a set of Michelin Road 6 tyres. The motorcycle is available in two colour options and it remains to be seen if Husqvarna will bring this model to India. Upon launch, it could rival the likes of the Triumph Street Triple R and the Kawasaki Z900.
