Triumph has given its flagship Tiger 1200 range a small, yet important, update for 2024, with the changes being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
- Preload Reduction drops seat height by up to 20mm
- Footpegs of GT models repositioned for more cornering clearance
Triumph Tiger 1200 changes for 2024
For 2024, the biggest change to the Tiger 1200 is the new Active Preload Reduction feature, which was revealed back in August last year. This feature reduces the rear suspension preload as the bike slows down to a stop, lowering the seat height by up to 20mm, simply by pressing the ‘Home’ button on the switch cube for one second.
Triumph has also increased the cornering ground clearance of the Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer models, by lifting the footpeg positions and moving them closer to the bike. The dampened handlebars and risers, have also been introduced to the GT Pro and Rally Pro, which Triumph claims deliver a smoother ride with better visibility out of the mirrors.
Currently the Triumph Tiger 1200 range is priced between Rs 19.19 lakh – Rs 21.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). When this updated model arrives in India, expect it to carry a small premium over the current bike’s price.
