After multiple previews and teasers of the Q6 e-tron, Audi has now confirmed its international debut will take place on March 18. The addition of the Audi Q6 e-tron will see the brand’s EV portfolio in international markets increase to eight and provide a long-awaited electric alternative to the Q5 SUV.

  1. Audi Q6 e-tron gets a claimed range of 600km
  2. Features twin-screen cockpit layout and a separate passenger screen
  3. Gets 536 litres of boot space, expandable up to 1,529 litres

Audi Q6 e-tron: what to expect?

A key highlight of the Q6 e-tron is its interior, featuring a curved, panoramic 14.5-inch infotainment display and a 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, the passenger also benefits from a 10.9-inch screen integrated into the dashboard for personalised functionality. The Q6 e-tron’s cabin is built using eco-friendly materials with some soft touch surfaces as well. Furthermore, with 526 litres of boot space (expandable to 1,529 litres with the rear seats folded) and a 64-litre 'frunk' for charging cables and small luggage, practicality will be a strong suit.

Developed on the PPE electric car platform in collaboration with Porsche, the Q6 e-tron will share most of its underpinnings with the Porsche Macan EV. The Q6 e-tron boasts a maximum range of 600km and a rapid charging rate of up to 270kW, thanks to its 800V electrical architecture. Performance figures are yet to be revealed, but Audi has hinted that the Q6 e-tron Sportback, like the A6 Avant e-tron concept, will offer a combined output of 470hp and 800Nm of peak torque from its twin-motor, four-wheel drive powertrain.

Audi Q6 e-tron: India launch

With the global unveil of the Q6 e-tron SUV scheduled for March 18, one can expect the electric alternative to the Q5 to make its India-entry not too long after. Currently, Audi has multiple EVs in the Indian market, including the Q8 e-tron, Q8 e-tron Sportback, e-tron, e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT
