BS6 Endeavour introductory pricing gets three-month extension
Updated SUV is available with a single engine-gearbox combination

There’s some good news for those keen on buying the BS6 Endeavour. Ford has extended the SUV’s introductory pricing till July 31, 2020. The BS6 Endeavour went on sale on February 25, with prices ranging from Rs 29.55- 33.25 lakh, and it was to see a price increment of around Rs 70,000, post April 30. Like other manufacturers, Ford too bore the brunt of dealership closures amidst the nationwide lockdown. The decision to postpone price increments is a measure to spur demand, as dealerships start reopening pan-India.
Ford has announced that 420 touchpoints (226 Service centres and 194 showrooms) across 192 cities are presently operational. The carmaker is also serving customers via its new Dial-A-Ford helpline number.
What’s new on the BS6 Endeavour?
The BS6-spec Endeavour was launched earlier this year with Ford’s new 2.0-litre EcoBlue turbo-diesel engine. This engine, which is available as a twin-turbo unit in international markets, is offered in India in a single-turbo avatar and makes 170hp and 420Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and buyers also have the option of a 4x4 version. As part of the update, the Endeavour also received LED headlights and debuted Ford’s new FordPass connected-car tech. The SUV is available in three variants.
The refreshed Endeavour rivals the BS6 Mahindra Alturas and the popular Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market.
