Datsun has exhibited its latest crossover concept, the Go-Cross, at the 2016 Auto Expo. This concept is based on the same platform as the seven-seat Go+ sold in India, but gets crossover styling such as raised ride height and body cladding. This is the same concept that was unveiled in October 2015 at the Nissan Motor Corporation HQ in Japan.

At the front, the concept sports angular headlamps and high-set fog lamps along with LED lights mounted on the lower portion of the bumper, Datsun’s trademark grille and a prominent faux skid plate. On the sides, the model gets body cladding, roof rails, a rising window line, and large alloy wheels. Completing the crossover look is a prominent rear bumper with body cladding, skid plate and a roof-mounted spoiler. Mechanical details of the concept are yet to be revealed but it could feature the same 1.2-litre motor as the Go+.

At the time of the concept's unveiling in Japan, Vincent Kobe, global head of Datsun, had said that the company was planning to expand its offerings in India with a third model, based on the CMF-A platform of the Renault Kwid, to be introduced this year. The car in question, the Redigo, has been seen testing for some time now on Indian roads.
