The Datsun Go facelift has been spotted multiple times in the past. Now, the company has introduced the new Go hatchback and Go+ MPV in the Indonesian market. Both the cars continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that makes 68hp and 104Nm of torque. For Indonesia, the engine is available with either a five-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT gearbox. The automatic option is only available on the hatchback and not the MPV.
The exterior changes on the facelift include newly designed front bumper and headlamps. These are the same as those on the Cross, which was revealed earlier, this year. The front bumper now carries vertical strips of LED DRLs in place of fog lamps and the grill is now wider. The cars are also available with a body kit, which includes sportier front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a large rear spoiler. Both models also get new alloy wheels and the side indicators are now integrated in the ORVMs.
On the inside, the facelift gets a new 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. The restyled instrument panel and AC vents in the facelift are similar to the ones found on the Cross. Both the hatchback and MPV are equipped with driver’s side airbags, auto headlamps and power windows on all doors.
Datsun is expected to launch the Go and Go+ facelift in India later this year. However, it is likely that the manufacturer would skip the CVT gearbox on the Indian variant.
