Force Motors has revealed a new Trax Cruiser designed specifically for jungle safari expeditions. We’ve been told that the first set of these specially designed vehicles are going to be put to work at the Tadoba Tiger Reserve soon. This version of the Trax Cruiser has multiple unique design and utility-related mods that will aid in the forest-related operations it’ll take on.

Force Trax jungle safari SUV: what’s different
With the specially designed Trax Cruiser, Force Motors is aiming to provide a more comfortable experience for tourists on jungle safaris. It comes with a six-seat cabin and a slightly larger glass house. There are fixed glass windows on all sides to protect passengers, and the cabin gets front and roof-mounted rear AC vents. Additionally, it also comes with dual sunroofs, a first for any Force Trax vehicle. There are individual leatherette bucket seats.
A large-ish roof rack has been provided along with specially designed “guards” across the sides of the vehicle. Up front, the Force Trax jungle safari gets a bull bar that stretches across the nose, and another one bordering the front windshield. Creature comforts include mobile charging points.
Force Trax jungle safari SUV: under the skin
There is no change to the platform or dimensions, which means that under the skin, the Force Trax jungle safari is the same as any standard Force Trax Cruiser or Citiline. At 5.1 metres long, the Force Trax jungle safari vehicle has an over 3-metre long wheelbase, similar to the standard version.
The specially designed Force Trax jungle safari vehicle comes with the Mercedes-Benz-derived 2.6-litre diesel engine that produces 91hp and 250Nm of torque, and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It also comes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
Sources tell us that the Force Trax jungle safari vehicle is made-to-order only, and is priced from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Initially, a few units are expected to join the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve wildlife sanctuary in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra.
