The current-gen Endeavour was first unveiled back in 2014 and is now due for a mid-cycle update soon. Ford has begun testing the refreshed SUV in Australia where it is sold as “Ford Everest”. The updated Ford Endeavour/Everest is likely to make its public debut sometime next year.

The Endeavour shares basic underpinnings, engines and cosmetic parts with the Ranger pickup which will also receive styling tweaks as part of the mid-cycle update. Ford has also announced that it will bring back the Bronco SUV to the North American market which, according to sources, is likely to be the left-hand-drive version of the updated Endeavour. Keeping this in mind, it would be safe to assume that as part of this facelift, Ford will give the Endeavour’s nose styling tweaks to bring it more in line with the styling of the larger SUVs like the Explorer and Expedition sold in North America.

While the Australian and North American versions of the Endeavour will most likely receive new tech such as automatic emergency braking (AEB) and radar-based cruise control, it remains to be seen whether the India-spec model sees any of these updates. Apart from the styling, the Endeavour will also get new-design alloy wheels and a mildly tweaked interior. Under the hood, the refreshed SUV is likely to carry forward the same set of engine options, a 2.2-litre and a 3.2-litre diesel.
The refreshed Endeavour will continue to rival competitors like the popular Toyota Fortuner, the Jeep Compass, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the recently launched Isuzu MU-X. Expect the updated SUV to come to India sometime late next year.
