The Honda Amaze Special Edition has been launched at Rs 7.00 lakh, in anticipation of the festive period. The Amaze Special Edition is based on the mid-level S trim of the sedan and can be had in four engine-gearbox combinations. Given below are the variant-wise prices.

Honda Amaze Special Edition features
The Honda Amaze Special Edition, costs just Rs 12,000 more than the equivalent S trim. For the price mark-up you get features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, unique seat covers, a sliding centre front armrest, body graphics on the doors and a Special Edition badge over the regular S variant.
Of other things, the Honda Amaze Special Edition is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, power adjustable and foldable ORVMs with turn indicator, height adjustable driver’s seat, steering mounted audio controls, shark fin antenna and wheel covers.
Honda Amaze Special Edition engine and gearbox
The Honda Amaze Special Edition is available with a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 90hp and 110Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine which produces 100hp and 200Nm of torque. Both engines can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT-automatic gearbox, though the diesel’s power output drops to 80hp and 160Nm of torque when paired to the CVT.
Honda Amaze rivals
The Honda Amaze competes with other compact sedans like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire and Tata Tigor in the market. It is worth mentioning that the Dzire and Tigor do not get diesel engine options, unlike the others. In August this year, the Honda Amaze crossed the 4 lakh sales milestone after 7 years of production, spanning two generations.
