We recently reported on the Hyundai Creta facelift with Verna-like design cues that will head to India early next year. Our sources now tell us that along with the Creta facelift, Hyundai India will also introduce the Creta N Line in the same time period – latest by March next year. The Creta N Line will likely be the third N Line product from Hyundai in India after the Venue N Line and the i20 N Line.
- Creta N Line will be based on the India-spec Creta facelift
- Will get N Line specific styling tweaks
- Could come with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine
Hyundai Creta N Line design changes
The India-bound Creta N Line, just like the Creta facelift, is yet to be revealed. However, going by the styling tweaks the current N Line models have over their standard siblings, one can expect the Creta N Line to follow a similar design theme. Expect minor tweaks to the front bumper, grille and front chin with N Line specific red accents clubbed with gloss black and faux brushed aluminium bits.
There will be unique alloy wheel designs, side skirts, N Line badges on all sides, and styling tweaks to the rear bumper as well. On the inside, like other N Line models, expect an all-black interior theme, N Line specific gear lever and steering wheel with red stitching, among other things.
Hyundai Creta N Line expected powertrain
The facelifted Hyundai Creta will come with an option of 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel and the new 1.5-litre, 160hp, turbo-petrol engine that already sees duty in the new Verna and the Alcazar. It's the 1.5-litre turbo engine that's expected to feature on the Creta N Line, likely mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission. While we do not expect any changes to the engine output, Hyundai could offer a sportier suspension setup, a louder exhaust and tweaked steering as with other N Line models.
Upcoming Hyundai SUV launches: 2023 and beyond
The next big launch from Hyundai in India is the Exter micro SUV, which will go on sale by August 2023. As far as market launches for the Creta and Creta N Line go, we are told that both models will enter series production by early January next year and will go on sale by March 2024.
