Hyundai has launched the Tucson facelift, with introductory prices starting from Rs 22.30 for the entry-level petrol. Hyundai had showcased the SUV at Auto Expo 2020 earlier this year, though the model’s market launch has been delayed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Variant-wise prices for the 2020 Tucson are below:

How can you identify the updated Tucson?
The mid-cycle update brings in some changes to the Tucson’s styling. The grille is now larger, the headights and tail-lights are new and the bumpers, too, have been tweaked. The overall detailing gives the Tuscon a fresh look without straying too far from the original design.
Inside, the dashboard is new as are some of the control surfaces. The touchscreen infotainment system now sits atop the centre console as a free standing unit and has also grown in size to 8.0-inches. The air-con vents have also been repositioned with this update.
Hyundai India offers fou colour options - Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black and Starry Night.
What equipment is on offer?
Aside from the aforementioned 8.0-inch touchscreen, the Tucson facelift also packs in Hyundai’s Blue Link connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-way powered driver seat, hands-free tail-gate opening and wireless smartphone charging.
On the safety front, the fully-loaded SUV comes with six airbags, ABS, hill-start assist, ESC, front and rear parking sensors and a parking camera, to name a few features.
What engines does it get?
As with the pre-facelift model, the Tucson is available with a choice of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options, though both units are now BS6 emission standard-compliant. The 2.0-litre petrol now makes 152hp and 192Nm of torque, but continues to be paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The 2.0-litre diesel produces 185hp and 400Nm of torque with the big change being the switch to a new 8-speed automatic gearbox from the older 6-speed unit. All-wheel drive is available on the top-spec (GLS) diesel trim.
What's the warranty on the updated Hyundai Tucson?
Hyundai offers a 3-year/unlimited kilometre standard warranty pack, which can be extended up to 5 years/50,000km.
What does the Tucson compete with?
The Tucson facelift primarily rivals the Jeep Compass, the recently launched Skoda Karoq, and the Honda CR-V.
