The Jaguar I Pace electric SUV will be launched in India in the near future, and now the British luxury brand has revealed the specifications, variants and equipment for the India-spec car on its website, along with an option to build it to order.
- The I-Pace comes with a single 90kWh AWD powertrain option.
- The 400hp Jaguar EV will go from 0-100kph in a claimed 4.8sec.
- Jaguar’s newest EV offering comes packed with new-age tech.
The model range comprises S, SE and HSE variants, but even the base version is pretty well kitted out, with the likes of 19-inch, diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlamps and tail-lamps, and ‘InControl’ connected car tech. Over and above the three set variants, however, are several optional extras that can be added to your Jaguar I Pace.
Jaguar I Pace S features
The base I-Pace S gets 8-way, semi-powered front seats, a full-length fixed glass roof, screen-based dials, a tyre-pressure monitor, auto wipers, a powered tailgate and dual-zone climate control. The Pivi Pro infotainment system includes a 12-speaker, 380W Meridian sound system and a dual touchscreen infotainment unit that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The InControl connected car tech includes a partner smartphone app, remote access and monitoring, over-the-air updates, vehicle tracking, as well as real-time traffic updates from the navigation system. Standard driver assistance tech includes a 3D surround camera, driver fatigue, and regular cruise control.
Jaguar I Pace SE features
Over and above the kit on the S, the mid-spec SE gets more advanced projector LED headlights with daytime running lights, 12-way power-adjustable leather sport seats with memory, and heated, power-folding auto mirrors with memory.
Jaguar I Pace HSE features
The top-spec HSE features even more tech, starting with adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights with animated directional indicators, 16-way power adjustable, high-quality ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats with memory, hands-free boot release, adaptive cruise control, and a heads-up display. On the infotainment front, the HSE gets a 16-speaker, 825W Meridian 3D surround sound system.
Jaguar I Pace optional equipment
Over and above all this, at an extra cost, you can option your Jaguar I Pace with four-zone climate control, illuminated door-sill plates with the Jaguar logo, an ionising air purifier with PM2.5 filtration, JLR’s clever ‘Clear Sight’ camera-based digital rear-view mirror, ambient interior lighting, wireless mobile charging and even adaptive air suspension. You can also choose from three interior upholstery colour options.
Jaguar I Pace power and range
The I-Pace comes with a single ‘EV400’ powertrain with a 90kWh battery and AWD. It develops 400hp and 696Nm of torque and is capable of propelling the 2.2-tonne SUV from a standstill to 100kph in a claimed 4.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 200kph.
Electric luxury SUVs in India
Once launched in India, the Jaguar I-Pace will go up against the 408hp Mercedes-Benz EQC and, when it launches, the Audi e-tron.
