Mahindra has updated the popular Scorpio N SUV by expanding its equipment list on the top three trims of the Scorpio N – the Z8 Select, Z8 and Z8 L – without a hike in prices.
- Top-spec Scorpio N Z8 L also gets auto dimming rear view mirror
- All three trims get new high gloss finish for centre console
- Midnight Black colour now available across all Z8 trims
Mahindra Scorpio N new features
The recently launched Z8 Select and the higher Z8 now gets a wireless charger and a new high-gloss finish for the centre console. Meanwhile, the range-topping Z8 L now packs in ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, a wireless charging pad with active cooling and a high-gloss finish for the centre console like the other two. Furthermore, the Midnight Black paint shade, earlier limited to just the Z8 Select, can now be had across all Z8 trims.
What’s nice is that these feature additions come at no extra cost. The Z8 Select range starts at Rs 17.10 lakh, the Z8 begins at Rs 18.74 lakh and the Z8 L is priced from Rs 20.37 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It's worth noting though that Mahindra recently hiked prices across the Scorpio N range by around Rs 10,000.
Other than that, the Scorpio N’s equipment list remains unchanged. The top-spec Z8 L features 6 airbags, a 7-inch touchscreen, powered driver’s seat, a sunroof, 18-inch alloys, a Sony audio system, front and rear camera, and a driver drowsiness detection system, among other things.
The Mahindra Scorpio N is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, each with their respective 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. However, the 4WD option is limited to just the diesel.
