Maruti Suzuki is advertising significantly large benefits and discounts this month on the Arena range of cars – from the entry-level Alto to the Vitara Brezza – except for the Ertiga. In a bid to push sales in the last month of the current fiscal year, carmakers usually offer sizable benefits, and in March 2021, models like the S-Presso and even the recently launched Swift facelift can be bought at a reduced rate. Read on to know how much you could save on your new Maruti car. Do note that the amounts listed below are inclusive of a cash discount, an exchange bonus and corporate discounts.
- Maruti S-Presso gets discounts of up to Rs 52,000
- Up to Rs 37,000 off of the 2021 Swift facelift
- Vitara Brezza gets up to Rs 35,000 off
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Benefits of up to Rs 52,000
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is a peppy, spacious urban runabout, though its SUV-esque looks can be polarising. Its 68hp, 1.0-litre petrol engine is frugal, regardless of whether it’s mated to the 5-speed manual or the AMT option. Maruti dealers have been authorised to offer up to Rs 52,000 on the Renault Kwid rival this month, which is interestingly the same amount as last month.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Benefits of up to Rs 47,000
Compared to rivals like the Tata Tiago and Datsun Go, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio comes across as dated, especially in the features department. Nonetheless, this efficient hatchback sells well as it’s spacious and easy to drive, thanks to the 1.0-litre K series petrol engine that comes with manual and AMT gearbox options. The Celerio, like the S-Presso, also comes with a factory-fit CNG option. Buyers could avail up to Rs 47,000 worth of benefits on the Celerio in March. There’s an all-new Celerio in the works that is expected to arrive before the end of this year.
Maruti Suzuki Alto
Benefits of up to Rs 42,000
Maruti’s entry-level model gets a sizable Rs 42,000 worth of benefits and discounts this month. Although the Maruti Suzuki Alto may feel basic and cramped compared to newer rivals – like the Renault Kwid and Datsun Redigo – its price, low running costs and efficient 48hp, 0.8-litre petrol engine help keep it in demand.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Benefits of up to Rs 37,000
Maruti recently gave the current-gen Swift a mid-life update – it now has a mildly tweaked exterior and interior design, more equipment (segment-first cruise control), and a more powerful 90hp DualJet engine. The new 1.2-litre engine, which is more frugal, too, thanks in part to the idle start-stop system, comes with manual and AMT gearbox options. Exchange benefits and cash discounts to the tune of Rs 37,000 are available on the Maruti Suzuki Swift in March.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco
Benefits of up to Rs 37,000
Strictly as an A-to-B transport option for up to seven people, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a sensible buy on a limited budget. It is utilitarian and just comes with the basics, in terms of creature comforts and safety kit. However, factor in the low running costs (especially with the CNG kit), price tag and economy, and you’ll understand why the Eeco still has a place on the monthly sales charts. Maruti’s MPV comes with Rs 37,000 in total benefits this month.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
Benefits of up to Rs 35,000
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza battles it out in the extremely competitive compact SUV space and still makes a space for itself on the monthly sales charts. The Vitara Brezza is powered by a 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, which comes with manual and torque convertor gearbox options. The compact SUV retains typical Maruti traits – frugality, space and the peace of mind – associated with its cars. Customers could get up to Rs 35,000 off on the Vitara Brezza during this month. Maruti is working on launching the second-gen Vitara Brezza by the end of 2021.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Benefits of up to Rs 35,000
The most fuel-efficient petrol car in India, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, shares the 90hp DualJet engine and gearbox options with the 2021 Swift. A rival to the likes of the Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire and Hyundai Aura, the Dzire is the current sales champion of the compact sedan segment. It is available with benefits and discounts worth Rs 35,000 in March.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Benefits of up to Rs 30,000
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R’s tall-boy design may not be to all tastes, but it pays dividends in the amount of space on offer on the inside. The Wagon R is offered with two economical petrol engine choices – a 68hp, 1.0-litre unit and an 83hp, 1.2-litre unit – both of which get manual and AMT gearbox options. The Hyundai Santro rival gets up to Rs 30,000 in total benefits, this month.
