Maruti Suzuki has announced that it has reached the milestone of 400 Arena showrooms in less than two years. Arena is one of the three new car retail chains of Maruti Suzuki along with Nexa and Commercial. The combined sales network has now crossed 2,940 showrooms across 1,860 towns and cities.
Back in 2017, Maruti decided to revamp its existing retail outlets as Maruti Suzuki Arena. This included leveraging digital technology to serve customers better. The company believes that almost 80 percent of car buyers research online before buying a car and hence the website was revamped. The company has also tried to integrate the online and offline registration, making it more seamless. Customers can register for a test drive or a showroom visit online. Upon reaching the showroom, they can just enter their mobile number to be assigned to a relationship manager. The Arena showrooms have large interactive product vision touchscreens on which customers can explore the entire product range. They can also customize the vehicles on configurators with different accessories.
The Arena network sells different types of vehicles ranging from hatchbacks to vans. These include the updated Alto facelift, Alto K10, new Wagon R, Celerio, Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, new Ertiga, Gypsy, Omni and the Eeco. The carmaker aims to convert the entire network of dealerships across India into Maruti Suzuki Arenas for better customer experience.
