Maruti Suzuki has announced a recall for the Baleno hatchback to check and update the Actuator Assembly ABS software on 3,757 units manufactured between December 6, 2018, and February 4, 2019.
The inspection and updation will be carried out free of charge at Maruti's service centres across the country, and the company has stated that dealers have already begun contacting owners of the models affected.
Owners can also check if their cars are affected by going to the important customer information tab on Maruti's website and filling out the car’s chassis number.
Earlier this year, Maruti gave the Baleno and Baleno RS a mid-cycle update with tweaked styling and an updated equipment list to further boost the popularity of its premium hatchback.
The automaker also launched the new Wagon R, moving the brand’s tall boy to a new platform along with offering the model with the brand's 1.2-litre K-series petrol motor.
