As a family transport as well as a dependable business vehicle, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco is powered by a 1,200cc engine that delivers 54kw at 6,000rpm and 101Nm of torque at 3000rpm. Offered as both petrol and CNG variants the Eeco delivers a fuel economy of 21.8 km/kg in its CNG guise and 16.2kpl in petrol form. The former accounts for over 17 percent of the Eeco's total sales.
R S Kalsi, senior executive director (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, commented on this achievement, saying, “The Eeco is designed to meet varied functional needs and a partner for young entrepreneurs in the country. Maruti Suzuki has consistently introduced upgrades in the Eeco to stay relevant and adapt to changing needs of the customers. We are confident to sustain a strong foothold in the segment with the Eeco."
The Eeco is a vehicle designed to meet the functional and practical needs of its customers. Its sliding doors offer ease of entry and exit, even during congested road conditions. Its overall dimensions give the car enough space to carry a sizeable load while its proportions provide ample legroom and headroom at the front and rear, alike, while providing a comfortable driving position. The Eeco is offered as either a five-seater or a seven-seater vehicle, depending on the buyer's needs.
