Expanding its extensive range of hatchbacks, Maruti Suzuki recently launched the S-Presso at an introductory price of Rs 3.69-4.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The budget hatch is powered by a BS6 iteration of the automaker’s tried-and-tested 1.0-litre petrol engine that churns out 68hp and 90Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual unit as standard, with the convenience of an optional AMT gearbox also on offer.
In order to tap into the rising popularity of SUVs in our market, Maruti has positioned the S-Presso as a ‘micro-SUV’ and has designed its latest offering accordingly, with an upright stance, boxy proportions, a high 180mm ground clearance, large 14-inch wheels and body cladding all over. The S-Presso is available in four trim levels; and while the base Std variant is sparsely equipped, the range-topping VXi+ packs in some goodies like a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
For customers who would further like to personalise and spruce up their ‘micro-SUV’, Maruti is offering a whole host of official accessories that can be added for an added cost. Read on to find out the various customisation options available on the new S-Presso.
