Next-gen Mercedes CLA: what’s new?
The next-gen CLA has been caught testing in southern Europe, thanks to our friends at Motor.es. While the sedan is still wrapped in camouflage, the latest spy shots reveal the sharp headlights and the new wraparound tail lamps more clearly. The front lights feature a new illuminated star LED pattern inside, similar to those on newer Mercedes models like the upcoming E-Class.
Next-gen Mercedes CLA: powertrain, launch details
The new-gen CLA will be available with petrol and non-plug-in hybrid powertrain options only. No diesel engine will be on offer with the entry-level luxury sedan. Additionally, the sedan will later receive a fully electric powertrain, as previewed with the CLA concept about a year ago. The electric versions will be available with single- or dual-motor powertrains, supported by different battery options, providing ranges of up to 750km.
