The new Tata Sumo Gold has been launched at Rs 5.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Sumo Gold was first shown at Tata’s Horizonext event back in June, and features a 3.0-litre CR4 diesel engine that puts out 84bhp and 25.4kgm of torque. It gets an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 15.3kpl.
In terms of features, the new Sumo Gold gets air-conditioning and a set of blowers for the middle row as well. There’s also an audio system with USB and Bluetooth compatibility. It also gets the same alloy wheels as the Tata Safari’s.
Among the carmaker’s claims are a suspension that’s been softened for better ride quality, improved noise, vibrations and harshness levels and a clutch that has a life of 1 lakh kilometres.
The new Sumo Gold comes in four colours, Blazing Red, Twilight Grey, Arctic Silver and Porcelain White.
