Having announced that the facelifted Range Rover and Range Rover Sport lines would be launched in India on June 28, Jaguar Land Rover has now opened bookings for three of its Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) offerings - the Range Rover Sport SVR, SVAutobiography Dynamic and SVAutobiography LWB.

In line with the visual updates rolled out for the rest of the Range Rover family, the three SVO models sport a face similar to the Velar's. New on all three are Pixel laser LED headlamps that fit into the gloss black fringes of the new-look grille, which sports a new Atlas mesh pattern. The front and rear bumper have also been redesigned, and the tail-lamps get new inserts. Additionally, the SVR gets a carbon fibre bonnet (an exposed carbon fibre bonnet is optional), a revised front bumper to improve cooling and braking, and new lightweight SVR Performance seats.

For the uninitiated, the SVAutobiography Dynamic has a different chassis, steering, exhaust and suspension setup than the standard Range Rover, and sits 8 mm lower, too. It sports Graphite Atlas accents, red brake calipers and 21-inch wheels.

Inside, these three SUVs incorporate new details first seen on the Velar. The highlight of the cabin is the new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system replete with two 10.0-inch touchscreens on the centre console, the upper one of which can be adjusted for a better viewing angle. There's practically every creature comfort you could think of, from 24-way-adjustable Hot Stone massage seats at the front and power-close doors to a refrigerator.

With this update, the SVR is more powerful: its supercharged 5.0-litre V8 now makes 575hp and 700Nm, and can crack 0-100kph in a claimed 4.5 seconds. Engine options for the long-wheelbase SVAutobiography include the 4.4-litre V8 diesel making 340hp and 740Nm of torque, as well as the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol. The SVAutobiography only gets the supercharged V8 petrol option. All three get an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

The Range Rover Sport SVR is now priced at Rs 1.97 crore. The SVAutobiography Dynamic costs Rs 3.11 crore, while the SVAutobiography EWB is priced at an eye-watering Rs 3.88 crore (all prices, ex-showroom, India). That's actually more expensive than the recently-launched Bentley Bentayga V8, and not too far away from the full-blown Bentayga W12.

Would you consider a long-wheelbase Range Rover SVAutobiography over a Bentley Bentayga? Let us know in the comments.
