The Cullinan Series II has slimmer headlamps with L-shaped LED daytime running lights that extend to the bumper, which has been updated. The grille has been slightly redesigned. Even the rear bumper sports a fresh look with a stainless-steel skid plate. The Cullinan’s wheels are new, too.
The cabin has a full-width glass panel across the dashboard. It also gets a new display ‘cabinet’ in the dash, which houses an intricately detailed analogue clock and a miniaturised, illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy mascot under it. The Cullinan comes with the latest version of Rolls’ Spirit infotainment system, which brings new graphics and displays and enables personalisation to the extent that owners can change the colours of their instruments to match the paintwork or upholstery.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan facelift: powertrain, specs
Powering the Cullinan facelift is the same 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine as before, producing 571hp and 850Nm of torque on the standard variant and 600hp and 900Nm on the Black Badge version. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, sending power to all four wheels.
The updated Cullinan costs around Rs 3.55 crore more than the outgoing pre-facelift Cullinan (Rs 6.95 crore), and the new Black Badge is Rs 4.05 crore more expensive than its predecessor (Rs 8.20 crore). The Cullinan retains its position as the most expensive SUV in India, with no direct rivals at its price point. The carmaker says that deliveries of the Cullinan Series II in India will commence in Q4 of this year.
