Tata Motors is all set to launch the Nexon facelift soon and quite a bit of information is out in the open. Following the exterior, interior and powertrain details, we now have the names of all trims of the upcoming Nexon facelift.

  1. Tata Nexon facelift to get 11 trims
  2. It is likely to launch in mid-September
  3. Will get new two-spoke steering wheel

Tata Nexon facelift new trim names

As reported before, Tata Motors is planning to ditch the older nomenclature that started with ‘X’ – XE, XM, XM+, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux – and adopt the Punch's naming system instead. We now know that the Nexon facelift will get Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure, Pure (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S) and Fearless+ (S) trims. Tata’s naming scheme has always been exhaustive and confusing for buyers, and the new system could possibly make things easier.

The '+' after each trim implies that the Nexon facelift will get optional packages with each corresponding trim, similar to how the Punch gets packages with additional features on each trim. Furthemore, similar to the current naming system, (S) denotes the availability of a sunroof, and the Nexon facelift will continue with the single-pane unit.

The top-spec trim of the Nexon facelift is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a new two-spoke steering wheel, as seen in the spy shots. The Nexon facelift is also expected to get sequential turn indicators, a 360-degree camera along with front parking sensors, touch-based HVAC controls, wireless charger and ventilated seats.

Tata Nexon facelift exterior and interior design

We also exclusively brought to you the exterior and interior design of the Nexon facelift. On the outside, Tata Motors has made significant changes, which seem to be inspired by the Curvv concept. A few details include a new split-headlamp setup, a full-width LED tail-light, new design for the alloy wheels and much more.

The interior of the Nexon facelift gets a redesigned dashboard with slimmer AC vents, touch-based HVAC control panel, larger touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. However, Tata Motors has retained the rotary drive mode selector and manual handbrake lever.

Tata Nexon facelift powertrains

The Nexon facelift will continue with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine gets four gearbox options – a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, 5-speed manual gearbox, 6-speed manual and an AMT. The diesel engine will only get 6-speed gearboxes.
