Honda’s compact sedan can be had with two engine options – a 90hp 1.2-litre, petrol paired with either a 5-speed manual or CVT, or the torquier 1.5-litre diesel. The diesel develops a notable 100hp and 200Nm when paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, with the segment unique diesel-CVT combination developing a lower 80hp and 160Nm. The Amaze attracts cash benefits of up to Rs 17,000 across trims, except for the petrol S, which gets heftier cash benefits of up to Rs 20,000. Buyers can also choose to forgo cash benefits for free accessories valued up to Rs 23,850, depending on the variant.

Further benefits can be had in the form of a Rs 15,000 exchange discount for trade in of an older vehicle with Honda owners offered additional loyalty benefits of up to Rs 14,000. Corporate customers can get a further Rs 4,000 off on the compact sedan.

    Honda Jazz

    Benefits up to Rs 50,250

With the move to BS6, the Honda Jazz is now available only with the 90hp 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. Buyers will like the Jazz for its roomy cabin, well-sorted ride and smooth automatic gearbox, though it’s not as well-equipped as some newer rivals, and higher variants do get pricey.

Customers can avail of cash benefits of up to Rs 15,000 on Honda’s premium hatchback or option accessories worth up to Rs 17,300. As with the Amaze, the Jazz too is offered with exchange benefits of up to Rs 15,000, along with loyalty benefits of up to Rs 14,000. Corporate benefits of up to Rs 4,000 are also offered.

    Honda WR-V

    Benefits up to Rs 50,530

Essentially the crossover hatchback sibling to the Honda Jazz, the WR-V gets plenty of styling changes to the exterior to help it stand out from the former, including an SUV-like raised ground clearance and body cladding. As with the Jazz, the WR-V too packs in a spacious and airy cabin, though it too misses out on some features over newer compact SUVs. Buyers can choose between the 90hp 1.2-litre petrol or the tractable 100hp 1.5-litre diesel engine, though neither can be had with an automatic gearbox.

The WR-V is available with benefits of up to Rs 50,530, including cash discounts or complementary accessories, exchange and loyalty benefits, and corporate discounts.

    Honda City

    Benefits up to Rs 32,000

The Honda City is one of the carmaker’s most popular models in India, so it’s little surprise that the carmaker is currently offering no cash discounts on the midsize sedan. Buyers can choose between the new fifth-gen City or the more affordable fourth-gen model, though only the former is available with a petrol-CVT powertrain and diesel engine option. Both generations of Honda’s midsize sedan pack in a comfortable and spacious cabin, and strong petrol engine, with the fifth-gen sedan also packing in quite a bit of kit for the premium price.

Both sedans are available with loyalty and corporate benefits worth up to Rs 22,000, with Honda additionally offering exchange benefits of up to Rs 10,000 on the fifth-gen sedan.
