BMW has introduced a new trim level to its 5-series line-up in India, the 530d M Sport. The new M sport trim will replace the standard 530d, which will be sold only until stocks last. Additionally, dealers are offering quite a heavy discount of up to Rs 3 lakh on the 530d’s price tag (Rs 51.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The new 530d M Sport comes equipped with features such as a heads-up-display, an eight-speed automatic transmission with steptronic function, which allows you to change gears on command via the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel, M sport seats for the driver and front passenger, a leather-wrapped M steering wheel, an aerodynamics package, side skirts and other exterior trim bits as standard. It also gets a high gloss shadow line trim, a special black trim around the windows, a chrome tipped exhaust, special anthracite colour headliner, door sills with an 'M' badge and a larger 10.2-inch display. The 530d M sport also comes with an exclusive carbon black metallic paint shade and 18-inch M alloy wheels. The M sport package (albeit without the M alloys) is also available on all the other 5-series variants for an additional Rs 4.5 lakh. However, the 530d M sport costs only an additional Rs 49,000 over the now discontinued standard 530d.

The 530d M Sport is priced at Rs 51.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
