Citroen C3 Dark Edition exterior design

Expectedly, the C3 Dark Edition’s exterior gets the all-black treatment, including a new Perla Nera Black paint finish and dark chrome trim for the chevron logos, lettering, grille and side mouldings. It also has exclusive badging underneath the rearview mirrors. The 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels have been retained from the standard C3.

As hinted in Citroen’s recent Dark Edition teaser, the C3 Dark Edition’s cabin mirrors the exterior, with a carbon-black finish for the dashboard, steering wheel, seats, and centre console, among other bits. The blacked-out treatment is accompanied by Lava Red stitching and detailing for some sporty flair, and the AC vents and gear lever get gloss-black accents.
Extra interior features for C3 Dark Edition
The C3 Dark Edition offers goodies such as leatherette seats, ambient and footwell lighting, illuminated sill plates, a leatherette-wrapped instrument panel, and a seatbelt cushion.
Citroen C3 Dark Edition engine and gearbox

The changes to the C3 Dark Edition are purely cosmetic, so it remains mechanically the same as the standard variants. The Shine variant comes with two engine options. One of these is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine developing 82hp and 115Nm, mated solely to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Buyers seeking more power and automatic transmission can go with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit, which is good for 110hp and up to 205Nm and paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto.

Feel trim joins the C3 line-up

Alongside the C3 Dark Edition’s debut, Citroen has announced the addition of the Feel trim to the hatchback’s portfolio. While the prices for the Feel trim are yet to be revealed, it’ll likely slot in below the base variants (Live) and the mid-spec Feel(O). The C3 Feel has standard equipment like remote keyless entry, powered windows all around, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, LED daytime running headlights, a passenger sun visor with vanity mirror, two front airbags and a spare wheel.
Moreover, the Feel(O) trim now gets a couple of new features, namely turn indicators on the wing mirrors and adjustable headrests on the front seats, and the C3 Shine can be had in a new black paint finish.
C3 is now E20-compliant
All the C3 variants have been certified as compliant with the E20 fuel (20 percent ethanol and 80 percent petrol blend) as per government regulations that came into effect on April 1. Now, the C3 cars also come with a larger 45-litre fuel tank.
