FCA India partners with Orix for new car leasing

FCA India has announced that it has partnered with Orix Auto Infrastructure Services to offer new car leasing services. Initially set to launch in five cities – Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune – the leasing program will cover all cars sold by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in India.

Speaking about the announcement, Kevin Flynn, President and MD, FCA India, said, “This innovative partnership will enable customers to lease the award-winning Jeep Compass without having to pay for the vehicle outright and enjoy the cash flow benefits. This partnership strengthens our commitment to providing the Jeep ownership experience to our Indian customers through innovative avenues.”

FCA said that the company's partnership with Orix for leasing of its cars in India would offer a range of benefits including road tax payments, insurance, breakdown assistance, repairs and maintenance. The company will also provide lease options for a period ranging between 2-5 years.

FCA is the second manufacturer to partner with Orix in 2019 and offer a new car leasing program to prospective customers. Earlier in the year, Skoda announced a similar partnership with Orix, offering leasing options for its range of cars across eight cities.

FCA is currently readying to launch the much awaited off-road-focused Jeep Compass Trailhawk, which is expected to debut a diesel-automatic engine-gearbox combination. The Trailhawk is expected to launch by July this year with bookings expected to open next month.
