Chinese carmaker Great Wall Motor has made its India debut at Auto Expo 2020, and along with a slew of SUVs, has also given the Haval Concept H its world premiere at the biennial motor show.

The crown jewel of Great Wall's Auto Expo display, the Concept H is a plug-in hybrid SUV. Details on the powertrain are scarce, but the Haval Concept H previews a future midsize SUV from the brand.

Design-wise, it gets a lot of styling cues that are already present on a number of Haval SUVs, but stands out with a large and tastefully executed chrome-lined grille, LED headlights, large 19-inch alloy wheels and T-shaped tail-lights.

On the inside, the Concept H sports a digital instrument cluster, a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a touchpad for the gear selector, and an additional door-mounted touchpad for a number of other functions. The dashboard gets fabric inlays, an LED light bar that spans the width of the dash, and even a screen for the co-driver that displays information about navigation and more. The Haval Concept H also has a large panoramic sunroof, along with forward collision alert system and autonomous emergency braking.

At this point, Great Wall Motor hasn’t divulged its India product plans, but the company has confirmed it will commence India operations in 2021.
