The Honda Elevate Black Edition has been spied in production-ready avatar, and it's expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. Dealer sources tell us that a price announcement could take place by end of January 2025.

    • Elevate Black Edition to get dark theme inside out
    • Will remain mechanically unchanged
    • Expected to cost around Rs 75,000-80,000 more

Honda Elevate Black Edition will be the top spec

The Elevate Black Edition will get an all-black exterior that has a mix of matte and gloss black elements; only the Honda logo and Elevate branding will have chrome finishes. While the interior is not visible clearly, we expect the dashboard, the headliner, door pads and seats to be finished in black.

The Black Edition will remain mechanically unchanged, so it will continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol good, mated to either a manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.

While the launch of the Elevate black edition was expected by March this year, dealers tell us that the launch has been brought forward in order to push sales.  The midsize SUV has been averaging a meagre 1,500 units a month, way below segment stalwarts like the Creta that averages over 15,000 units a month. In order to boost sales and add to the SUVs appeal, Honda will add the Elevate Black Edition to the line-up months after the Elevate Apex Edition went on sale.

Honda Elevate Black Edition expected price, rivals

While there are many SUVs in the market that come with all-black themes, they are either a segment above or below the Elevate. So, the Elevate Black Edition will only have the Creta Knight edition and the Astor Blackstorm as direct rivals.

Expect the Elevate Black Edition to be priced around Rs 75,000-80,000 more than the corresponding variant.
