Kia Syros prices to be announced on February 1

    The Kia Syros SUV is set to launch on February 1. Bookings will open at 12:00 am tonight on the brand's online platforms and at Kia India dealerships from tomorrow. The made-for-India Syros is a unique product from Kia that will be positioned slightly above the Sonet compact SUV.

    Kia Syros bookings, delivery details

    While the prices for the Syros are not out yet, we can expect a starting price slightly under Rs 10 lakh, which will roughly be around Rs 1 lakh higher than the Sonet. The booking amount has been set at Rs 25,000, and deliveries could take place by the second week of February, dealer sources tell us. The Syros will make its public debut at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Show on January 17.

    Kia Syros engine, colours, feature list

    The Syros will be available with two engine options and in six trims. The petrol variant gets a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 120hp and 172Nm of torque, while the diesel one comes with a 1.5-litre unit good for 116hp and 250Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on both engine options, with the petrol variant offering a 7-speed DCT auto option and the diesel variant equipped with a 6-speed torque converter auto option.

    On the features front, higher variants of the Syros will get 17-inch alloy wheels, dual tone interiors, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, dual 12-3-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation, an 8-speaker sound system, front and rear ventilated seats, wireless charging, powered driver seats, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, and level 2 ADAS tech.     As for paint options, all variants get eight monotone colour options, including a new Frost Blue shade. The other seven exterior finishes, namely Glacier White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Gravity Grey and Aurora Black Pearl are shared with the Sonet and the Seltos SUVs.
