While Mahindra announced prices for the Thar Roxx on Independence Day, customers will be able to book the SUV online starting October 3, 2024, at 11 am. The booking amount has been set at Rs 21,000, Autocar India can confirm.

    1. Many dealers have begun accepting unofficial bookings
    2. Test drives for the Thar Roxx began on September 14

Dealers have begun accepting unofficial bookings for all variants and powertrain options. The Thar Roxx is available in MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L variants, with prices starting at Rs 12.99 lakh and going up to Rs 22.49 lakh. Customers opting for the 4x4 versions (Rs 18.79 lakh-22.49 lakh) can choose from the MX5 (with a manual gearbox), AX5L (with an automatic gearbox), and the AX7L (with both manual and automatic gearbox options).

The Roxx shares its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines with the 3-door and the Scorpio-N, but in different states of tune. Both engines get manual and automatic gearbox options, though only the diesel gets optional 4x4 tech.

Test drives for the Thar Roxx began on September 14, and according to dealers, deliveries are expected to start by Dussehra, October 12, or by the end of this month.
