Mahindra has introduced several new features on the top-spec EL trim of the XUV400 EV, with its prices now starting at Rs 19.19 lakh.

    1. Mahindra XUV400 gets cruise control, TPMS
    2. Panoramic sunroof to arrive with facelift in 2025

    Mahindra XUV400 new features

The EL trim on the XUV400 now gets features like electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, cruise control, auto-dimming rear view mirror, a tyre pressure monitoring system, fog lamps, a boot lamp and two tweeters to accompany the 4-speaker system. We had criticised the lack of ESP in our comparison with the Nexon EV Max, so it's good to see that it has been added.

We've reported before that the XUV300 and XUV400 will soon get a panoramic sunroof that will replace the existing single-pane sunroof on both models. According to our sources, the brand’s idea is to make panoramic sunroofs available throughout the XUV line-up. However, this will only arrive with their respective facelifts; the XUV400’s facelift is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.

    Mahindra XUV400 remains mechanically unchanged

The XUV400 gets a single electric motor that produces 150hp and 310Nm of torque. The front axle-mounted motor is paired to a 39.4kWh battery in the EL trim, which has an MIDC-claimed range of 456km. In the EC trim, it is mated to a 34.5kWh battery with a claimed range of 375km (MIDC).

These aforementioned features come with a slight price bump of Rs 20,000. While the base EC trim is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh-16.49 lakh, the EL trim is now priced between Rs 19.19 lakh-19.39 lakh. Mahindra’s EV is directly aimed at the Tata Nexon EV (Rs 14.49 lakh-19.29 lakh).

    All prices ex-showroom, India

They aren't providing any of these features to existing customers. The car launched just 5 months ago and they secretly are cheating all early supporters of the car. Also, they didnt even provide the connectivity features they promised. So they basically took money for features that werent even built and secretly built other features that arent event being offered to people who bought the car. My advice, do not trust mahindra with this and stay as far as you can
