McLaren has launched the third model in its Sports Series range, the 570GT, ahead of its debut at the upcoming Geneva motor show. The new 570GT gets a more luxurious cabin and added luggage space.

The model is powered by the same twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine in the 570PS that produces 562bhp and 61.24kgm of torque. This in turn, gives the car a top speed of 328kph and enables it to go from 0-100kph in 3.4 seconds and from 1-200kph in 9.8 seconds.

The chassis of the car also gets some modifications including a reduced spring rate of 15 percent at the front and 10 percent at the rear. The steering ratio of the electro-hydraulic system too has been reduced by two percent over the 570S'.

The McLaren 570GT gets a larger rear glass and a standard fixed panoramic roof to give the cabin an open-air feel. The leather-lined luggage area now offers 220 litres of space as a result of the revised glasshouse. A new side-opening rear glass hatch provides access to the new storage compartment, and the signature dihedral doors now open wider too.

Inside, the 570GT features extended leather upholstery, electrically adjustable heated seats with memory function, front and rear parking sensors, an electric steering column with easy entry-exit function, soft close doors and a quieter exhaust system compared to the 570S Coupe's.  McLaren will offer the car with its ‘By McLaren’ designer interior specs, which is a series designed to offer the widest range of personalisation options to customers.

McLaren claims that it has also fine-tuned the suspension and steering system in order to emphasize long-distance comfort. The bespoke Pirelli P-Zero tyres also feature a Noise Cancelling System to further improve the ride quality.
