Compared to the current MG ZS EV and Astor, the facelifted models now showcase a whole new front fascia that includes a reworked front grille and headlamps. There’s no word yet on the powertrain details of the facelifted ZS EV and Astor, as both are based on the Thailand-spec VS that’s powered by a hybrid powertrain. However, it is expected that the ZS EV facelift will continue with the 50.3kWh battery pack from the current car that offers a claimed range of 461km. It is also likely to be powered by the same front-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 176hp and 280Nm of torque.
Similar to the ZS EV facelift, the Astor facelift is also expected to retain the 110hp, 144Nm, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine and the 140hp, 220Nm, 1.3-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.
MG India’s upcoming plans
The automaker is currently gearing up to launch the Hector facelift in India by next month. Additionally, MG will also be launching the Air compact city car, which will be its second electric car in the market, after the ZS EV.
