MG Windsor bookings cross 15,000 on the first day

    Windsor becomes the first EV to achieve this feat in the Indian market.

    MG's recently launched Windsor recorded a total of 15,176 bookings within 24 hours, on October 3, the day bookings officially commenced. This is the highest number of bookings received in a single day by a new EV in the country.

    2. Priced from Rs 13.5 lakh to Rs 15.5 lakh

    Pricing for the MG Windsor starts at Rs 13.5 lakh for the entry-level Excite variant, going up to Rs 15.5 lakh for the Essence variant. MG also offers a unique 'Battery as a Service' (BaaS) scheme, wherein the cost of the battery is not included in the car's price. The buyer can pay just Rs 9.99 lakh for the Excite variant and an additional Rs 3.5 per kilometre for the battery. You can read more about MG Windsor’s BaaS scheme here

    The Windsor comes with a 38kWh battery pack offering a claimed range of 331km on a single charge. It is powered by a front axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 136hp and 200Nm. The features on offer include a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic glass roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, full-LED lighting, 135-degree reclining rear seat, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, and more. 

    MG Windsor has no direct rivals, however, it gives competition to similarly priced electric SUVs, such as the Tata Curvv EV, Nexon EV, and Mahindra XUV400
