New ownership scheme for Mahindra e2o

    Mahindra e2o.

Mahindra, in a bid to boost sales of its e2o electric car, has introduced a scheme called 'Goodbye Fuel, Hello Electric'. The scheme will allow buyers to purchase an e2o initially without paying for the battery cost. The buyers will be able to pay off the battery cost with a monthly running cost payment of Rs 2,599 for a period of five years. This will allow users to drive 50,000km in that period and if they want to change that range, the company has provisions.

The e2o is also being offered with a smart port that supports Quick2Charge (fast charging), Sun2Car (solar charging) and Car2Home (through which the car power a home).

Speaking at the launch of the scheme in Pune, Chetan Maini, MREV CEO, said that between 50 and 100 Quick2Charge stations will be set up in and around the city. Initial phase of the scheme will cover Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.
