The Skoda Elroq midsize electric SUV will be displayed at the Auto Expo 2025, and the Vision S SUV concept will be present, too, joining other models such as the latest-gen Superb, the new Kodiaq and Octavia RS at Skoda’s pavilion.

Skoda Elroq EV sits below the Enyaq globally

The Skoda Elroq made its debut last year. It is underpinned by the Volkswagen Group’s MEB architecture, which is also used by the Audi Q4 and Volkswagen ID.3, among others. It has been stretched to 4.49 metres, making it slightly larger than the ICE-powered Karoq (4.39 metres) but smaller than the Enyaq (4.65 metres). The Elroq sits below the flagship Enyaq iV in Skoda’s global line-up and gets three battery pack options – 52kWh, 59kWh and 77kWh – with outputs ranging from 170hp to 285hp.

There is no news of the Elroq launching in India, but in case Skoda decides to sell it here, the SUV will be a direct rival to the likes of the Tata Curvv, the newly launched Hyundai Creta EV and also the Maruti e Vitara. The brand is showcasing the EV in India to gauge customer response. Skoda claims it has achieved price parity for the Elroq with the similarly sized Karoq in Europe, and if localised in India, it could be positioned competitively here as well.

Vision 7S concept previews future Skoda designs

Along with a long list of production models, Skoda will also display the Vision 7S SUV concept, which has been around since August 2022.

The concept previewed many firsts for Skoda, including its new logo and the “Modern Solid” design language, which is now seen on newer models like the latest-gen Superb, the new Kodiaq and the Elroq. These models also borrow the steering wheel design and a few other bits from the Vision 7S. A 7-seater SUV based on this concept is making it to production by 2026. The concept also has a large central touchscreen that can be used in portrait or landscape positions, similar to what we see on the BYD models.
