As a part of its new launches, Tata has also announced a CNG variant of the Nano called the Nano emax.

On the outside, the only way to distinguish the CNG variant from regular Nanos is an ‘emax’ logo on the rear hatch. The display car featured body graphics on the sides, but it’s not known whether this will make it to production.

Changes on the inside include a toggle switch for the CNG and a green surround on the speedometer.

The Nano emax gets a 32-litre CNG tank with a claimed fuel efficiency of 36km/kg, which results in a combined range of around 400km. The CNG-fueled engine puts out 32.5bhp and 5kgm of torque.

There is no word on pricing yet, but the Nano emax is expected to enter our showrooms soon with a marginal increase in price over the regular Nano.
