Citroen has finally added a new top-spec variant to its eC3 line-up. The eC3 is essentially an all-electric iteration of the C3 hatchback and is currently the most popular of all Citroen models sold in India. The new eC3 Shine variant is priced from Rs 13.20 lakh-13.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The eC3 faces stiff competition from the Tata Tiago EV, which is also positioned at a similar price point.

    Citroen eC3 Shine: what’s new?

The eC3 Shine gets additional features like electrically adjustable wing mirrors, a rear parking camera and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It also gets front and rear faux skid plates and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. These features build up on the 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4-speaker audio system and height-adjustable driver’s seat that is available on the eC3 Feel variant. Like the Feel trim, the Shine also is available with the Vibe Pack, and dual-tone exterior finishes.

While these feature additions do make the eC3 more competitive, its direct rival, the top-spec Tiago EV, which is priced lower than the eC3 at Rs 12.04 lakh (ex-showroom, India), gets cruise control, rain sensing wipers, a power tailgate, a cooled glove box and an auto-dimming IRVM.

    Citroen eC3 electric: warranty details

Citroen is offering a few extended warranty options on the car, electric motor and the battery.
